What Are Kit Kat Tiles?
Kit-Kat tiles (often also referred to as ‘finger’ tiles or ‘mosaic finger tiles’ are a range of wall and floor tiles that resemble a kit-kat chocolate bar with slim rectangular shapes lined up next to one another in a line. The tiles give the impression that you’ve used multiple individual tiles to create the stylish effect on your wall, but in fact, these tiles are usually pre-scored to give the appearance of multiple tiles, when in fact they’re just one tile.
For example, our Alba range of kit-kat tiles feature 8 ‘tiles’ all fixed to a flexible mesh panel to keep them together, making them much easier to lay. You’ll find different tile sizes across the market which offer more or less individual rectangular ‘tiles’ on each kit-kat tile too. For example, a 30cm x 30cm tile could feature what looks like 16 tiles on the tile, but on another tile design, it could feature 24 ‘tiles’ within the same tile footprint due to a smaller rectangular kit-kat tile design. The one you opt for depends on how big you want the ‘individual tiles’ to look within your kit-kat mosaic wall.
