FAQs

When it comes to the best grout colour to pair with your green kitchen tiles, it all depends on the type of atmosphere and look you’re aiming to achieve.

Opting for the traditional white or light grey grout is a great option if you’re looking to create an open and refreshing kitchen. This will certainly help to bounce light around your kitchen, especially if paired with porcelain tiles.

If it’s a bold look you’re after, then pairing your green tiles with a charcoal or dark grey grout will certainly help to achieve it. The effect of the contrast does vary depending on what shade of green you opt for with your tiles though. This shade of grout tends to work better with darker greens.

If you’re looking to achieve the ‘farmhouse’ look, then pairing your green tiles with a beige, sage or even ‘greige’ grout colour. Our Oat grout would do just the trick. This combination softens the transition between tiles, making your kitchen feel even more warm and inviting.

The ‘seamless’ look is a high end, contemporary style that’s gaining in popularity. By matching the grout to your tile colour, you create a seamless, yet textured surface that really lets your chosen colour take centre stage.

Green kitchen tiles pair beautifully with a range of different colours such as whites and creams to blush pinks and navy blue. There’s many ways to achieve this contrast too, whether that’s through other tiles, a contrasting grout colour or through fixtures and fittings such as kitchen cupboards and counter tops.

As for particular colours, let’s break down a variety of options and why they pair so well with various shades of green.

  • White’s & Cream’s can really help your chosen green tiles to stand out and can provide a rather crisp and clean aesthetic.
  • Black and dark greys offer a really dramatic contrast to your chosen green tiles. Especially if you opt for darker shades such as emerald.
  • Brass, Copper & Gold fixtures such as taps, handles or lighting complement green tiles magnificently, providing a really elegant, classy feel.
  • Natural wood tones are also a great choice, adding warmth and creating a natural, organic feel.
  • Blush pink hues can really provide a welcoming soft, yet striking contrast that just works.
  • Pairing your green tiles with other green shades can also help you to achieve a contemporary seamless style that’s becoming really popular.

We have a wide range of sizes available in our green kitchen tile collection. From small 5.1cm x 16.1cm rectangular tiles that are perfect for creating modern, sleek designs to larger format 22cm square patterned tiles and 60cm x 120cm rectangular tiles which are ideal for kitchen floors.

Within our green kitchen tiles range you’ll find both porcelain and ceramic tiles. Both of which have their pros and cons which need to be considered when choosing between them.

Ceramic tiles are a very popular choice due to their affordability, range of sizes and designs available and also how easy they are to clean. Making them a great choice for kitchen splashbacks. However they aren’t as durable as their porcelain counterparts and are unfortunately more prone to damage.

Porcelain tiles are a great choice for kitchen floors and tiled worktops due to their durability and water resistant properties (absorbing less than 0.5% of water). However they are harder to cut compared to ceramic tiles, which could make installation a little more difficult. They’re also generally more expensive too, but are definitely a great investment.

The price of the tiles definitely beat competitors and was a speedy delivery. However, the delivery was of poor quality, resulting in many broken tiles due to poor packaging on the pallete and poor delivery to the door. I've since written to customer service to remedy the issue, and even after several days there has been no reply. I'm not sure the savings is worth the hassle.

Very impressed with the service. We were left short of a specific tile when our bathroom supplier went bust. I found them on the Online Tile Shop's website, called them to check and received confirmation they had enough in stock. Delivery was quick and not expensive, and they kept in touch on the delivery progress. Would recommend.
